A Scottsdale senior portrait session at Silverleaf for a girl who's literally going places - at about 150mph.

Every once in a while, a senior walks into your session and you know this one is little different. At 18, not only is Autumn a stunner, but she was also incredibly sweet AND she's a professional race car driver competing in French F4 in Europe this spring. She attends school online specifically so she can travel and compete at the highest levels of junior motorsport. And she just made history as the first female driver signed to the P1 Medias family for 2026!

She showed up to our Scottsdale senior session at the ultra-private Silverleaf community with the biggest smile, the warmest energy, and her racing helmet tucked under her arm like it was the most natural accessory in the world. Because for her, it absolutely is, so obviously we needed to include it!

Silverleaf isn't just a neighborhood - it's one of the most coveted private luxury communities in all of North Scottsdale, and its sweeping desert landscape, warm sandstone pathways, and native desert flora made for the most stunning senior session backdrop. We moved through multiple locations within the community, letting Autumn's essence and two outfit selections guide the session.

We captured a few fun cap and gown photo ideas that go beyond the standard posed shot, playing with movement and her joyful disposition.

See those two lights in the top right corner of that image above? Those were the headlights of a spontaneous and sweet moment about to happen. Mid-session, a car full of her friends surprised her and drove past with the windows down, hanging out, waving and cheering for her and telling her how beautiful she looked. "You look gorgeous Autumn! We love you!" It was incredibly sweet and touching, and her reaction to the moment was equally as endearing. You could tell her friends love her, and how that moment made her feel.

This spring, while most of her peers are attending prom, Autumn has been in Europe, competing in French F4 as part of the P1 Medias racing family — the first female driver they've ever signed for the 2026 season. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with her gumption and drive. Nothing like 18 year olds breaking the mold in fresh new ways - and following their dreams. She'll be graduating high school with a cap and gown in one hand, and her racing helmet in the other. Cant wait to watch her career unfold and cheer her on!
