2026 Fall Mini Sessions
Jennifer Bowen has been photographing families in Arizona since 2005 and loves seeing many long time clients each year, as well as meeting new ones. Each fall she releases a set number of Mini Session dates for families. This page is dedicated to those particular dates & time slots.
If you are looking for a full Lifestyle session, or wish for a weekday evening outside of these times,
or have more than 6 people, you can visit the Family Packages page here
and submit an inquiry via that page for dates that work for you.

Booking Instructions (for dates below)

Click the time below you would like to book. Available slots are in BLUE. (Booked slots are GRAY). That will open up an email to me with the time/date in the subject.

Send the email with your family names, ages of children and any other pertinent info you would like to add, and a backup date if applicable.

I will send you the online booking agreement within 2-12 hours (if overnight) or an alternative time slot if yours is no longer available. (They are reserved first come, first serve.)

To finalize your booking and hold the spot in your name, please complete the booking agreement within 24 hours because fall mini sessions are in such high demand, there will be a waiting list for the slot you requested, so after 24 hours it will go to the next person on the list.
About 2 weeks out from your session date, I will email you the location/parking/weather details. Locations are selected based on several factors, including the weather and how many people are scheduled for that date. However all sessions take place in Scottsdale or Phoenix area and typically include some amount of shade/trees.
If no sessions are available please join the wait list at the bottom of this page and I will email you as slots become available.

These 15 min sessions were a hit last year and are perfect for teens, kiddos & Dad's! Quick, in & out, and just pretty portraits with one or two backdrops. Location TBD in Scottsdale or Phoenix, will be shared soon!

Love more than five images? (Most families do)
You’ll have the option to purchase extra digital files (as well as professional prints) directly from your
online gallery store when you see the images. Packages include 5 for $120 / 10 for $185 / or ALL for $250.
You can also just buy individual files for $30 each if you want just a couple more.
Additionally, you'll see the option at time of booking time to add ALL the digital images from your session for a discount.

What can we expect from a Mini Session?
Mini sessions with Jennifer Bowen Photography are quick portrait sessions (25 minutes) in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe or other metro areas, and are offered only in the spring or fall on specific dates at specific times in a set location. They are ideal for:
• Smaller families (less than 6 people only - larger groups click here)
• Families with young children who wont sit long
• Families with teens
• Maternity portraits
• Couples or newly engaged who just want a few great portraits
They are not really ideal for families wanting a more dedicated lifestyle / candid experience or for those with rather shy children who need more time and personal attention to warm up. Those sessions typically benefit from a full lifestyle session.
Cancellation Policy & Final Payments
The deposit to hold your session ($125) is non-refundable because we turn away others who want that time & date. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied towards a future portrait booking if used within 3 months of cancellation. Final payment for your session is due within 48 hours of your session. If you cancel within 48 hours of your session, all monies paid are non-refundable because we cannot rebook the session slot with only two days notice.
Does the session price include all of the images?
Your session includes five (5) high-resolution files for a Mini Session, or three (3) for a Flash Session. Those are yours to download, print, and share right away.
Most families end up wanting all of them, and you have two ways to do that. You can add the full gallery at a discount right in your booking agreement, or you can wait and decide once you've seen your images. Your gallery store also has individual files, sets of five or ten, professional prints, and gifts.
What is the turnaround time for our proofs?
We typically upload the edited proof images to your online gallery within 6-10 days and email you when they are ready to view. You choose your 5 freebies and download them. When you open them on your computer, the watermark will be gone, and the image file will be a full size, high res JPEG. The same applies to any other images you choose to add to your shopping cart and purchase.
Your sessions are all booked, do you have a waiting list?
Yes! After the sessions are booked up, Jennifer places all booking requests onto a waiting list. There are cancellations every single year since things do pop up last minute for families, and when a spot opens up, Jennifer emails the waiting list for an opportunity to book the session. You can add your name below.
