Whenever I hear Post Malone's #Sunflower song, I'll always think of this sweet family and their sun-drenched desert portrait session. . I was so honored when the uber-uber talented Haley, owner of @heartsweetcakes called me to take family photos of her *adorable* 1 year old Graham -- and document this special time in their lives. She and I met at a wedding industry event several years back, and I have been a big fan of her artistry and talent ever since. Her cake designs are unreal - you have to check out her work. Those flowers you see on her cakes are *hand-made* and look 100% like the real thing. She is so talented and I know how hard she works to on them to deliver an amazing product to her brides & grooms and clients. . As two business owning moms, I so enjoyed talking with her about the challenges of balancing work, and life, and raising children and how there are seasons for your life as it evolves through the different stages; each loving what we do and finding ways to try and balance it all, both personally and professionally, as so many women do. . Haley is as lovely on the inside as she is on the outside, and it was pure joy for me to capture her, Jon & Graham and this time in their lives. Towards the end, after the sun went over the mountains, she played Graham’s favorite song “Sunflower” that they play each night for him while putting him to bed, and he immediately snuggled into her in the sweetest way, and it totally melted my heart. 💗
