Mini Sessions are 25 minutes long and include up to six people total.
Each session comes with a proof gallery of approximately 35–40 images.
From these, you can select five complimentary high-resolution images to download, print, and share right away.
Love more than five? (Most families do!)
You’ll have the option to purchase extra digital files or order beautiful prints and products directly from your online gallery store when you see the images.

Mini Session Locations are only shared after a session is booked and typically about one week prior to the session since weather and local events can impact certain locations.
*All sessions take place in Scottsdale, Phoenix or Tempe and occasionally in the east or west valley.

What can we expect from a Mini Session?
Mini sessions with Jennifer Bowen Photography are quick portrait sessions (20-25 minutes) in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe or other metro areas, and are offered only in the spring or fall on specific dates at specific times in a set location. They are ideal for:
• Smaller families (less than 6 people only - larger groups click here)
• Families with young children who wont sit long
• Families with teens
• Maternity portraits
• Couples or newly engaged who just want a few great portraits
They are not really ideal for families wanting a more dedicated lifestyle / candid experience or for those with rather shy children who need more time and personal attention to warm up. Those sessions typically benefit from a full lifestyle session.
Cancellation Policy & Final Payments
The deposit to hold your session ($125) is non-refundable because we turn away others who want that time & date. If you need to reschedule, your deposit can be applied towards a future portrait booking if used within 3 months of cancellation. Final payment for your session is due within 48 hours of your session. If you cancel within 48 hours of your session, all monies paid are non-refundable because we cannot rebook the session slot with only two days notice.
Does the Mini Session Cost include ALL the files from our session?
The cost of the Mini Session package includes five (5) high res files to keep, not all of the images from your session. However, you can opt to buy all of them if you wish! You will see several different options in your gallery store, include for individual extra files, groups of 5 or 10, or all of the images from your session. Most families purchase all them.
You will see an option in your portrait agreement at the time of booking for a discounted rate, or you can decide after you see the images if you would like to buy more. Your gallery will have approx 40-50 watermarked images and inside your gallery store, you will see all the options for high resolution image downloads, professional prints, gifts and more.
What is the turnaround time for our proofs?
We typically upload the edited proof images to your online gallery within 6-10 days and email you when they are ready to view. You choose your 5 freebies and download them. When you open them on your computer, the watermark will be gone, and the image file will be a full size, high res JPEG. The same applies to any other images you choose to add to your shopping cart and purchase.
Your sessions are all booked, do you have a waiting list?
Yes! After the sessions are booked up, Jennifer places all booking requests onto a waiting list. There are cancellations every single year since things do pop up last minute for families, and when a spot opens up, Jennifer emails the waiting list for an opportunity to book the session. You can add your name below.
Booking Instructions (for dates below)

Click the time you would like to book. Available slots are in BLUE. (Booked slots are GRAY). That will open up an email to me with the time/date in the subject.

Send the email with your family names, ages of children and any other pertinent info you would like to add.

If available, I will send you the online booking agreement within 4-12 hours (if overnight). Once opened, booking agreements automatically expire after 24 hours because fall mini sessions are in such high demand and there will be a waiting list for the slot you requested.

To lock in your date & time, you will need to complete the agreement and pay the deposit within 24 hours. Then it's yours! From there I will email you specific location and meeting details within 2 weeks of your session.
